Founded: 1988
The Lee Bulls Athletic Club was founded in 1988 at the Lawrence F. Lee Boys and Girls Club in Jacksonville, Florida. The program was designed to mentor young males using basketball as a motivational tool to achieve long-term goals. Through basketball, student-athletes are encouraged to take the necessary steps required to gain scholarships to various colleges and universities. Over the years, the program expanded and grew, and began providing young males an opportunity to travel throughout the country touring college campuses and playing in events that have exposed them to various scouts and college coaches. Further assisting the student-athletes, the program began offering FCAT, SAT, and ACT preparation, in an effort to fully prepare our young men for college eligibility. The entire program is fully operated by volunteers.
