GBOA North First Team: Darius Lowery 5-8 Sr. NTA (Most Outstanding Game) Darius proved to be the most explosive scorer and was in line to be the MVP but his team went winless in Pool play. No one could match up against the 5-6 shooting guard even while playing the whole game due to having no other subs for team NTA. Darius almost single-handedly knocked off the more talented Illinois Bobcats team by scoring 48 of his teams 90 points. This was by far one of the most spectacular games by a single player in summer basketball. Scott Wood 6-6 Jr SYF Players (Most Valuable Player) Scott Wood came up huge when it counted the most. Scott knocked down four 3 pointers to put his team up for good in the GBOA North finals. Scott will be taking his game to N.C. State so make sure to watch for him in the ACC in a couple years. DeShawn Clay 6-4 Jr. SYF Players While DeShawn's teammate Scott came away with the MVP, DeShawn was the most effective scorer for the SYF Players. He showed a great feel for the game with his impressive array of drives. Jeronne Maymon 6-7 Jr. Illinois Bobcats No one was more dominant in Chicago than Jeronne Maymon. He posted some monster numbers almost averaging a double double. Jeronne could score at will in the lane but also showed some range pulling up for threes. Kevin Smith 6-5 Sr Team Detroit Kevin Smith kept team Detroit in most games by continuing to apply pressure on the offensive end. He continued to force the issue which ended in positive results for his team.
