Head coach and CEO, Lonnie Lowry, founded Philly MJC in 2001 along with Rick Clancy. The team was renamed Team Philly and has grown to become well known throughout the greater Philadelphia area and nationwide for producing some of the country's best young talent. Memphis Grizzlies point guard Kyle Lowry came through the Team Philly ranks, playing two seasons for Villanova before declaring for the 2006 NBA draft. Team Philly has also sent many players to top Division I programs.
